October is a slow season in Steamboat Springs, so we had a chance to speak to both the owners and the chef, who were generous, friendly and knowledgable. We ordered the beet salad and the fish with grits and an egg on top, both of which were sensational. We loved the unique flavors and the beautiful presentation so much we returned for happy hour the same day! We enjoyed the bacon-wrapped dates, the sweet potato soup and the pig wings. All exceeded expectations.
